Ingredients

  • Marshmallow:

  • 3 envelopes 0.75 oz unflavored gelatin

  • ½ cup cold water for melting gelatin

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup light corn syrup

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract

  • ⅛ teaspoon salt

  • Red food coloring

  • ⅔ cup powdered sugar sifted, plus more for dusting


  • Hot Chocolate:

  • 4 cups milk (preferably whole or 2%)

  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • ½ cup bittersweet or semisweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bar

  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Cooking Process

Marshmallow:

Step 1
Pour corn syrup and sugar into the machine for 30 minutes, 130°C, speed 1 reverse

Step 2
Dissolve gelatin powder with cold water and let it set for 5 minutes

Step 3
Add gelatin, vanilla extract, peppermint extract and salt into the syrup to whipped for 7 minutes, turbo speed 8

Step 4
Spray the baking tray with PAM, then pour the mixture onto the tray

Step 5
Add red food coloring and let it set in refrigerator for 6~8 hours; after the marshmallow is set, cut the marshmallow into square and dust it with powdered sugar


Hot chocolate:

Step 6
Put milk, cocoa powder, sugar, chocolate bar and vanilla extract into the machine for 18 minutes, 130°C, speed 1 reverse

Step 7
Serve it with marshmallow and enjoy
